When Inspiration Pours . . .

I'm not short on inspiration this week.  My mind is overflowing with ideas at the moment.  Unfortunately, my muse gave me inspiration for several different projects, so I have to choose which project to focus on.  After all, we can't just explode and magically complete everything at once.  It would be awesome if we could, though.  Right now, I'm just focusing on one main thing and taking frantic notes about everything else so I don't lose my other ideas.

Every writer (at least every scatter-brained writer like me) should have a notebook dedicated to notes.  I've had several in my time.  My husband learned long ago that when he doesn't know what to get me for my birthday, a new notebook is also welcome.  Along with coffee and chocolate, of course!

I'll leave you now to go channel my inspiration (plus I have to serve my kids lunch).  Here's a bit of inspiration for the writers and readers out there.  It's written for readers, but I think writers have the same excuse to be exhausted.

  1. I'm always swamped with ideas. I have a notebook just for new writing projects, seeds, lines that have inspired a novel thought...etc. I think every one should have one as well. I wish I could help you with which one to do first...I always struggle with that. >_<

  3. I just wrote a post along the same lines. So many ideas, so little time. Sometimes I wish I could just sit at home and write all day, but I'm sure if I ever got the chance to I would be watching Netflix all day instead.

  4. I love that picture! Very inspiration and so true! We should have books just full of notes - that and chunks of books we never get inspired enough to write other than a few scenes.

  5. Yes, with the notebooks and all! I use a stack of Post-its and a mini tape recorder. :)

  6. I don't know how I would get by without my notebook, although I think if anyone else took a look inside, they wouldn't have a clue what the scattered scribblings meant! I'm nearing the end of mine, must get a replacement!
