Celebrate the Small Things-Week 3

If you want to read my final entry for The World Building Blogfest, you can find it HERE.  If you want to meet my imaginary friend, you can do that HERE.

It's that time of the week!  It's time to Celebrate the Small Things with VikLit!

Whether your victory is large or small,
share it-we'll celebrate them all!

Okay.  I've been writing so much poetry lately that I felt an intense urge to rhyme there.  Thanks for allowing me to get that out of my system.

I have to say that I didn't accomplish the exact goals I had for this week.  I'll have to transfer those to next week.  Instead, I ended up writing poetry (which is an awesome thing to do as well!) and I wrote a flash fiction piece for the upcoming Vampire Bite Blog Hop.  Yes, I know it isn't until Valentine's Day, but inspiration struck suddenly midweek, and I had to write it.  When your muse visits and delivers something tantalizing, you don't refuse!

I also did some science reading on the the origins of the universe and life on Earth.  I'm a science geek, so when I get my hands on a science book, I must indulge myself!  Call me weird if you want, because I don't care.  It's fun for me!

What do you have to celebrate for the week?

You wrote and read, which is still a good thing.

  6. I love it when inspiration hits like that, and you just HAVE to start writing. My best ideas come to me that way.

  8. That is great about the poetry. I used to write a lot back in college which then converted to writing song lyrics ...but I would love to get back into it!

PS: I have nominated you for the Liebster Award. I will be posting more details about it on my blog tomorrow morning so be sure to check back! (www.jawardwrites.com)

  10. What a special science geek who can delve herself into poetry as well! Good for you. And you're right, when the words come up, they must come out.

  11. Weird is different... and interesting... and remember that it's only a perception that originates from those who think they are "normal" or "not weird".
Sounds like you've had a bumper week.
Poetry... flash fic... reading a good book... all sound awesome!

  12. Hey, accomplishing anything is good. And you never ever refuse the muse! (The last part of that rhymed!). Congratulations on getting some poetry written. I'm a geek about various bits of history and random facts, so there ya' go.
