Celebrate the Small Things-November 22, 2013

It's Friday, and I'm here to Celebrate the Small Things with VikLit!

I'm posting a tad late today.  It's hubby's payday, which means I had errands to run and bills to pay.  I don't think anyone enjoys paying bills, including me, but I'd like to celebrate the fact that it's done.  Sure, they'll come due again soon enough, but for now, I no longer have to worry about them.

My 2nd blogging anniversary is coming up in January, and I'm currently dreaming up blogfest ideas to celebrate.  So I'll take this opportunity to celebrate that, because I think concocting and hosting blogfests is quite fun.

Cold weather and snow have arrived where I live, but while it snowed last night, it could have been far worse.  This is the time of year where I'm actually somewhat uncaring that we don't have a driveway.  Most of the year I find it ridiculous that we don't have a driveway, but during the winter, it means we have one less thing to shovel.  That part isn't so bad.  Hey, celebrating the small things can mean finding the bright side in things that are otherwise annoying, right?

What would you like to celebrate?

  1. No driveway? As in, none at all, or it's gravel?
Wish we had snow. We were in the seventies today. So wrong...

    1. None at all. We have to park on the side of the street.

  2. Lucky you I'm sure, unless the road you park on needs to be cleared and you have to move. We have a large driveway, and enough of a grade to make getting into and out of it difficult during the slippery times. Fun, fun, fun. Pushing cars up or trying to find traction is such fun, or sliding into the street, even more! But I celebrate it all! LOL

  3. Payday is always worth a celebrate too. Seems early for snow, but I have been in the Southern Hemisphere a long time now.

  4. It's not even really cold here yet, and I'm one of those crazy people that loves cold weather; it seems to be taking so long this year!
We don't have a driveway in our current house, but the one we're moving to has one and I'm ridiculously excited about that.

  5. It is freezing over here, but at least it's been sunny. Sunshine is always something to celebrate! (Except on Christmas morning...)

  6. I don't enjoy paying bills either, but it does feel good to get it accomplished. It's getting cold here too, but no snow yet.

I guess I'm celebrating slow forward progress in my writing. Better than none!

  7. It's good to have jobs like paying bills done!

  8. I never enjoy paying bills, either, though I enjoy being able to! Best to you!
