Express Yourself: Secondary Characters

The Express Yourself Weekly Meme is hosted by Jackie @ Bouquet of Books and Dani @ Entertaining Interests.

The prompt for this week is: Name a secondary character who you think deserves their own series/stand-alone.

Sometimes the minor characters shine so bright that you can't help but take notice. Others have a mysterious past that you just yearn to know more about.

Both of my answers come from the world of Harry Potter.  This should hardly be shocking. That world is replete with interesting characters.

First of all, I'd like to read more about Luna Lovegood.  She's so delightfully strange, but loyal and good to have around.  She seems like someone I could be best friends with, so I'd love to see her side of things and where life takes her.

The second is Dumbledore.  I find his past so intriguing.  I'd love to read more about how he became the man we knew in the books.  There's a rich story there.

Which secondary characters would you like to read more about?

  2. There was a book out I didn't read about Dumbledore's early years, if you haven't read it you might want to check it out. There are so many wonderful secondary characters created through the years found in favorite books throughout the years that deserved their own books. Grandma Mazur in the Stephanie Plum series is one I'd like to know more about. Her past must have been a doozy!

  5. It's great to meet you this morning. I was visiting Dixie @dcrelief this morning and noticed her participation in Celebrate Small Things. So, I decided to take a peak at this little meme. I see you're taking the A-Z Challenge next month, too. I guess we may bump into one another... well maybe not, I signed up for MU & PH, but I think only music stuck. lol It's all about developing one's blog direction and skills as a writer, right? Well, have a good weekend!

  6. I'm stopping by as I start getting to grips with the mahoosive A to Z Challenge list but I just had to comment to let you know that I agree with your choices. I'd love to learn more about Luna and I wish that they would actually release The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore, like they did with Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find them for Comic Relief.
