I is for Infomania and Celebrate the Small Things

Here's a double post!

Today I have a Choose Your Own Adventure story for you!  I hope you like it!

Today's word: INFOMANIA

Infomania is defined as the compulsive urge to accumulate news or information.  In the case of today's story, the compulsion can lead to trouble.

Enjoy!

Infomania

“Hello.  My name is Robin, and I’m an infomaniac.”  The young man sitting next to you is wearing a wide smile and has a miniature notebook and pen in hand.
You resist the urge to snicker at the way Robin’s self-labeling resembles another term you’ve heard before.  That would be unprofessional.  “Thank you, Robin.  The first step to moving on is admitting that you have a problem.”  This is the same line you’ve uttered a thousand times before.
You turn to look at the rest of the group.  From the corner of your eye, you see Robin writing in his notebook.

It's Friday!  Let's Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain!  TheCyborgMom and I are her co-hosts.

This week my oldest son turned six.  He had a good birthday.  He got a Thomas the Tank Engine tent from us.  I can't share a picture of him using it due to some minor camera issues, but I'll get to that when I can.  Until then, here's an image to give you an idea of what it looks like.
He also got a telescope from my dad.  He loves it!

What would you like to celebrate?

  4. Here from Celebrate the Small Things. ~~~~ Thomas the Tank Engine has been around for a long time. My kids are now 23 and 19, and they used to watch the TV show and play with the train when they were young. ~~~ Happy B-Day to your son!

  5. My boys both worked their way through the Thomas books. I'm old enough to remember what the stories were like before they were given the Britt Allcroft makeover. Thomas was never intended to be the main character.

  7. How cute! My boys are both stinky men now but I remember the Thomas the Tank Engine days. I'm celebrating lots, but now I've added that I managed to get my boys to stinky man stage alive to my list ;p There were days when I wondered...
