Celebrate the Small Things-September 23, 2016

It's Friday!  Let's Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain!  Tonja Drecker and I are her co-hosts.

I spent part of last weekend sick.  Not fun.  Still, I'm feeling much better now, so I'm definitely celebrating that.  Being seven months pregnant is uncomfortable enough without having an illness on top of it.

My oldest son Jude has been learning to do dishes all week. So far, we've only have one broken glass, and he's been doing a great job with getting everything clean.  My other son Lyle has also been doing a great job cleaning up toys this week.  I'm proud of their hard work.

I have a huge week next week.  First of all, my Halloween novella Self-Help 101 or: How to Select a Costume to Help You Deal With People comes out on Tuesday, September 27th.  I'm pretty excited about that.

Then, a mere two days later on September 29th, Circuits & Slippers comes out.  My short story "Treating the Beast" is a science fiction retelling of the classic fairy tale Beauty and the Beast. I'm definitely excited to be a part of this amazing anthology!

What would you like to celebrate?

  4. Learning chores and helping around the house is essential!!! A family has to stick together to make it run properly. Good job!!

Being sick and pregnant are not a good combination. I hope you're feeling better. God Bless! And have a nice weekend!

  5. Debuts are worth celebrating, for sure. I'm impressed you've got your kids helping out with chores. I need to do this with my little princesses, but it will be tough. They've been spoiled. (I totally blame their mother.)

One broken glass isn't bad. I won't tell you how many I've broken.
