Celebrate the Small Things-August 12, 2016

It's Friday!  Let's Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain! Tonja Drecker and are her co-hosts.

I've spent a fair bit of time watching the Rio Olympics this week.  While I typically don't watch sports often, there's something exciting about the Olympics.  I've mostly watched the women's gymnastics and both men's and women's swimming events.  All I can say is that these athletes can do some amazing things.  It's amazing to watch them.

I finished a first round of edits for Self-Help 101 or: How to Select a Costume to Help You Deal With People.  Now I'm going to set it aside for a week or two to work on other projects.  Then I'll do another edit and work on getting it ready for release.

Both of my boys spent a lot of time riding their bikes this week.  Now they can both ride without training wheels, though there have been a few bumps and scrapes as a result. It's all part of being a kid, though, and they've had a great time!

What would you like to celebrate?

  2. One and done!
I've been watching a lot of the Olympics. There's just something inspiring watch people achieve what they do.

  3. I haven't been watching the Olympics, but if I did, I'd definitely want to see the gymnastics and the diving. Both are amazing.

I remember running alongside or behind my kid's as they learned to balance on a bike. It was exhausting, but worth it.

  4. I haven't watched the Olympics in a long while. Mostly because I don't have TV service and I haven't bothered to look if I can stream it somewhere.

  5. Congrats on finishing your edits. I haven't watched any of the Olympics this time around, but I'm always amazed by what the athletes can do.

  6. Yay for finishing a round of edits! I enjoy watching gymnastics, diving, and equestrian events. I've caught some of the volleyball matches this year, too. Congrats to your sons for going through that rite of passage with the bikes! Hope there weren't too many scrapes.

  8. I haven't gotten t see much of the Olympics because only one channel shows it here, and they focus on things Egyptians are in, like weightlifting (a man and a woman got bronzes in their categories!), judo, air-rifle and fencing. I adore watching gymnastics, but haven't gotten to see any of it... Yay for progress with your WIP! Have a great weekend!
