Celebrate the Small Things-August 19, 2016

It's Friday!  Let's Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain!  Tonja Drecker and I are her co-hosts.

WEP is happening this week!  For any of you who don't know what that is, you can check out the website.  If you're curious about my entry for it, you can find that here.

My son Lyle got glasses this week.  He's excited about them, and he's been taking great care of them so far.  Here are a couple of pictures.  His older brother Jude had to get in on the action, of course.

I've been trying to set weekly writing goals for myself, and I've met all of them for this week!  That's pretty exciting for me, especially since life frequently gets in the way of writing time.

What would you like to celebrate?

  2. Awesome that you met your goals! And adorable pics. My son takes really good care of his glasses too. He doesn't understand it when he hears any of his friends who lose their glasses. "But you need them to see!"

  7. Aww. I remember when my daughter got glasses. I let her pick out her frames and they looked amazing. She refused to wear them to school though. A year later, she had to wear them and a year after that, she talked me into contacts. Sigh.

  12. LG, I remember when I had to get glasses for the first in the 4th grade. I thought it was cool in the beginning, but then the name calling followed. That I didn't like much, and since my vision correction was primarily for astigmatism then I finally stopped wearing my eyeglasses. Is Four-eyes used these days? I know kids are still ever bit as cruel, if not more so than they were when I was young. I just don't get that, either. OH well, your kids are cuties.
