What It Means to Be a Writer

As a writer, I find that people often misunderstand what I do with my time.  People think its glamorous, or easy, or leaves me with lots of spare time.  The following image reminded me of that this week.  I thought I would share it with you here.  Surely some of you will understand the truth of this.

Taken from Fantasy and Sci-Fi Rocks My World.

It's all a matter of perspective.  For me, the hardest part of writing comes down to the nitty-gritty details.  Writing on the beach might make those details less frustrating though.

  6. What? We don't all smoke and gaze intensly into the distance while writing?

There's no way I could write on the beach, I would be too busy watching the waves and the birds to do anything else.
