O is for Obambulate and Celebrate the Small Things

How is the A to Z Challenge going by so quickly?  It hardly seems possible.  Today I have another Choose Your Own Adventure for you.

Today's word: OBAMBULATE

Obambulate means to walk about or to wander.  Who hasn't done that from time to time?

Obambulate

It’s a typical spring morning.  You wake up, crawl out of bed, and try to understand why you set your alarm on a day you don’t have to work.  You must not have been thinking clearly when you did it.
After a jolt of morning caffeine, you decide to go for a walk.  That might wake you up properly.  You don’t have a destination in mind.  You figure you’ll just obambulate about town and see what happens.
The crisp breeze chills your cheeks as you walk.  All is peaceful, until a few minutes into your stroll, you hear a loud sound.  You look up and are shocked by what you see.

It's Friday!  Let's Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain!  TheCyborgMom and I are your happy co-hosts.

Due to some weird circumstances, I overpaid a bill recently, so this week I got a refund check for $128.  I mean, yeah, the money was owed to me, but it still feels nice to get a check in the mail nonetheless.

It's been another good writing week.  That's always worth celebrating!

My old coffee pot broke, so I got a new one this week!  Yay!  The coffee continues to flow!

What would you like to celebrate?

  1. LOVE finding money I think I lost, and you getting a refund is the same kind of thing. Nothing like wearing an old coat and finding £20 in the pocket. Celebrate!

    Have a great weekend :)

  2. A new coffee pot? One with all the bells & whistles? I'm a coffee addict so I have several and why I don't know. One cup at a time does it.

  3. Both my aunt and mother-in-law have back up coffee makers :) I, on the other hand, have a back up hair dryer. Priorities!

  5. I followed Obambulate all the way through and ended up with dog poop on my shoe. Haha! Yay for your good writing week! Checks in the mail are always nice, and a working coffee-maker is essential. Have a lovely weekend!

  6. Money back you didn't always expect is always good! I ended up an embarrassed interviewee... the shame. It looks like you are having fun with this.
