My Favorite Martian

Today The Geek Twins are hosting the My Favorite Martian Bloghop.  This one seemed like a perfect match for me.

I have a love for many aliens.  It's hard to choose my favorite from among all the worthy candidates.  Whether they're bad guys, good guys, or the ones who seem indifferent to petty human concerns, I find them endlessly entertaining.  Growing up with this love, I always hoped I'd be around to personally witness first contact.

Still, I need to pick a favorite, so I'll go with The Doctor.
My personal TARDIS.

If you don't know who that is, I have no idea what planet you've been living on!

The Doctor is a renegade Time Lord that travels the universe in his trusty TARDIS.  For those who don't know, that stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space.  He has two hearts, he carries a sonic screwdriver, he regenerates, and he saves entire worlds from destruction on a regular basis.

Each regeneration has a distinct personality, along with a bizarrely unique sense of style. Whether he wears a giant scarf, a spiffy suit, or a bow tie, he kicks alien butt every time!

If it were possible to go on an adventure with The Doctor, I would!  I even wrote a letter to my husband for a previous blogfest, informing him that I was going travelling with The Doctor.  You can read it HERE.  Of course, I wouldn't leave my family behind to travel in the TARDIS.  I'd simply take them with me.

Then again, my two boys might play in the control room and accidentally crash the TARDIS. Hey, it isn't as if The Doctor hasn't ever crashed it!

  4. Ah, another Dr. Who selection. When so many people speak so highly of the Doctor, who am I not to give him a chance?

  6. Not much of a DW fan myself. I didn't make it through Season 1, perhaps I'll try again someday. The premise is great, I really like the idea of the torch being passed from Dr to Dr. Didn't realize he was an alien himself, that clears some things up. Great choice.

  9. The Doctor is a great choice. Weird, but I guess I didn't really think of him as an alien. Hmm... wonder why.

    1. Yes, I got it for Christmas one year. It's too small to travel in, and it can't travel through time and space anyway, but it does light up and make all the TARDIS sounds!

  12. Second Doctor Who fan I've seen on this Blog Hop, not that I can blame either of you! I loved the latest Christmas special - and just about all of the Doctor Who I've seen, which is back to Eccleston's debut.

  15. Great post! I admit I've only watched a few of the first season of Dr. Who, but with the choice of Dr. Who for this blog hop, I think I'll have to check out more of those episodes.

  17. I saw Dr Who quite a bit during this 'fest. As I've said elsewhere, I only watched the 80s version, and haven't really got into any since.
