It's Friday, which means it's also time to Celebrate the Small Things with VikLit!

This week has been gorgeous weather-wise.  Except, remember the post I did a couple of weeks ago lamenting the freak snowstorm we had.  I put up this graphic to show the dramatic shift in temperatures.

Well, just to prove how crazy Iowa is, here's a weather graphic from this week.

This came from May 14th.  We broke heat records for that day.  Still, this weather allowed me to have outdoor summertime fun with my kids.  That's worth celebrating!

I also got some good work done on Adam's Apple this week, in addition to keeping up with my blog.  So that's good.

Lyle had an excellent birthday last weekend.  I shared pictures in Monday's post. If you're interested in seeing them, click HERE.

What do you want to celebrate?

  3. I do enjoy the warmth, but that's a bit to warm for me.

Never happy are we! It's either too cold or too hot, see I'm like Goldilocks, I just want it to be 'just right'! :)

No, your right -- it time to just CELEBRATE!

  4. Can I borrow some of that nice weather? :) We had a little sun last week but it's hidden away again now. Hopefully it comes back soon!

  9. We've got very up and down weather here in the uk at the moment too. What is going on? There are so many birthdays in may. I had mine last week, my husbands is on monday, my mum's was two weeks ago and my nan's was this week lol. Still birthdays are always good to celebrate. :)

  10. Wow! That is some weather shifting! We have had a crazy spring here in OK as well, but we haven't hit 100 degrees yet! Hopefully that is not a sign of things to come. The last two summers have left us sweltering with many plants dead from the heat--no matter how much water they got!

Just dropping in from the A to Z Road Trip. Hi! :)
