A to Z Challenge Reflections and Celebrate the Small Things-May 13, 2016

It's hard to believe that the A to Z Challenge is almost two weeks behind us.  I'm still feeling a bit of blogging fatigue, as I'm sure many others are.

I'm glad I decided to offer writing advice for my challenge theme this year.  My goal was to hopefully help fellow writers as well as to boost my own confidence as a writer.  I don't know how much my advice actually resonated with anyone (though I did receive a lot of supportive comments!), I did feel more confident after writing each post.  You don't always realize how much you've learned and grown as a writer until you take the time to offer assistance to others.

I definitely plan to pre-write all of my posts again next year. Doing that made the rest of the challenge so much easier. I'm also glad that I took part in the A to Z Twitter chats.  I met a lot of great people that way.  I'd highly recommend anyone who hasn't done a Twitter chat try it at least once next year.

It's Friday!  Let's Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain!  Tonja Drecker and I are her co-hosts.

My youngest son Lyle turned five this week.  I can't believe he's gotten so big.  Here's a picture he had taken at school for his birthday.

The kids have been helping me tend to a garden we planted. Last Friday it was really warm outside, and when we went to water the plants, my oldest son Jude turned the hose and Lyle and me.  It turned into a full-out water fight.  I guess you're never too old to be involved in a water fight.

What would you like to celebrate?

  3. Thankfully, I escaped the AtoZ fatigue this year by having my posts scheduled and visiting blogs on the list prior to the challenge.
Love your linkups ~ thank you for hosting.

  4. Another A2Z year bites the dust! It was a fun ride while it lasted, but I'm ready to move on to other things. Getting these posts done ahead of time is the way to go. The last three years I failed miserably reaching this goal, but I'm more committed than ever to getting it right in 2017. lol However, don't hold your breathe! Kids have this way of shooting up over night. One minute they are a baby then the next they are grown and moved out, as in my case. Keep those yungins of yours little for as long as you can! Thanks for sharing your CTST moments and A2Z reflections. Have a funtastic weekend!

  7. Happy Birthday, Lyle! I enjoyed your writing advice, and prewriting posts is a great idea (See if I get that done next year ;) ). Lol! And giving a hose to a kids is a danger endeavor--never let them out of the corner of your eye! :)
