Poetry With Neil Gaiman

I love Neil Gaiman.  This is no secret.  Anyone who knows me and my bookshelf well enough can attest to this.  If Neil Gaiman did it, there's a good chance I love it.  He tells fascinating stories in an engaging way.  He also encourages fledgling authors and artists of various kinds, which is great.

I have a special love of one work in particular, though.  I love the poem "The Day the Saucers Came."  I discovered it in his book Fragile Things, which I would recommend to anyone.  I love it so much I own two copies, as a matter of fact. Hey, they have different covers, so that's my excuse!

Here's a video of Neil Gaiman reading this epic poem.  I highly recommend you watch it, because it is well worth your while!

  2. I've been meaning to read more of Neil's stuff ever since that "I Write Like" website said some of my prose was like his. I do love a lot of his quotes though.

  3. Bravo. Good stuff. I've read maybe four of his novels and they're always a surprise. So original. :)

  4. He's one of the best. This was the first time I've seen video of him. Apparently he's British. (Kidding! Of course I knew that.)
