Express Yourself: Joining a TV Show or Movie

The Express Yourself Weekly Meme is hosted by Jackie @ Bouquet of Books and Dani @ Entertaining Interests.

The question for this week is: If you could be in any movie or TV show, as yourself, what would you choose, and what could you bring to the table?

First of all, if I could be involved in any TV show or movie, it would have to be either science fiction or fantasy.  That's where I'd have the most fun.

I'll choose two for this, one movie and one TV show.  There are so many more that I could choose, but I can't dedicate enough time to write about them all here.

As for movies, I'd love to step into the Harry Potter films.  Any one of them, or all of them, will do.  I think it would be great fun to step into that world.

As for TV shows, I'd love to spend some time on the bridge of the Enterprise.  I'd choose Star Trek: The Next Generation so I could stand next to Picard when he orders his drink: "Tea, Earl Grey, hot."

What I'd bring to the table is the same for both Harry Potter and Star Trek: TNG.  I'd like to be the traveling writer who tags along on various adventures to document them, all the while adding the occasional sarcastic one-liner into the mix.  I could also ask all kinds of impertinent questions, which is always fun. (How many lights do you see, Captain?)  I wouldn't be anything like Rita Skeeter though.  I'd try to stick to the truth of the situation, but I'd probably write about my experiences in the form of a personal memoir so I could inject my own humorous thoughts into the narrative.  Gotta give it a touch of my own personality, you know?

What movie or TV show would you like to join?

  1. Next Gen! Excellent choice. I'll join you.

  2. What a fun post. Watching Deep Space Nine right now, so hmm.... maybe Dax (the 2nd one).

  3. Sister #AtoZChallenge minion from another mother (AJ's Hooligans).

I could definitely do a turn in one of the new Star Trek movies. Or the next Jackie Chan movie. They do a lot of amazing stunts but the care they have for each other is noticeable.

TV show. The original NCIS. I even had a story line worked out, but Ziva would have to come back, so...

I can also see myself in the movie adaptation of a cozy mystery I'm reading at the moment, as the mother of the main character.
